I’ve actually been meaning to post this for the longest time. Being a fan of period dramas and romances, it was a fresh bit of cinematic air the way this movie not only portrays a historical love story, but also shows the deliberate development of the affection of the main characters for each other. Like with a lot of films, especially love stories, I wanted this to be longer because I do enjoy the little intimate moments more so than any grand gestures. My only qualm about the movie is that I was a bit “faked” out at times, thinking that a particular scene would be the end and it turning out not to be the case. I had written a review of this before but I have forgotten where I have placed it, in any case, all it really says is this: It is a beautiful film, with a beautiful story, brought to life by wonderful actors, I recommend you see it.
